Das Projekt richtet den Blick auf das Verhältnis von Bild und Ton, zwischen denen es bei dieser Zusammenarbeit keine intendierte Beziehung gibt. Weder will die Musik eine Vertonung oder Illustration des Bildes bieten, noch liefert das Video einen Kommentar zu den Klängen. Beide Medien reagieren unabhängig voneinander. Eine Gemeinsamkeit ist eher durch die Übereinstimmung in der ästhetischen Grundidee gegeben. Erst im Kopf des Rezipienten stellt sich Sinngebung ein – ob von den Künstlern gewollt oder nicht –, denn für die Dauer der Performance gehen die beiden ursprünglich autonomen Ausdrucksformen Bild und Ton unweigerlich eine Verbindung ein. So erzeugt die Verknüpfung dieser beiden Rohstoffe immer wieder neue, überraschende Kombinationen, ohne dass darauf direkter Einfluss genommen wird.

The project directs its attention on how image and sound interrelate, although there is no intended connection between them in this cooperation. Neither does the music offer added sound or illustrate the image, nor the video provide a commentary on the sounds. Common ground is to be found rather in a congruence of the underlying aesthetic idea. It is first in the mind of the recipient that a meaning comes together, irrespective of what the artists intend – for the duration of the performance the two originally autonomous forms of expression, image and sound, inevitably strike up a connection. The linking of these two raw materials thus generates new, surprising combinations time and time again, without any direct influence being exerted.
